Crisp and dry; this wine shows some earthy characters through big sweet berry fruits. Bottle fermented in the traditional Champanoise method. This wine makes an excellent aperitif.

The 200 Shiraz exhibits a deep ruby/purple colour as well as a lovely nose of black fruits and pepper. With opulent texture, beautiful purity and a surprisingly elegant yet powerful intense style, it is a more terroir-driven offering that should drink well for seven to ten years. However it is not a shy wine at 15.0% alcohol.

The 2002 Cabernet offers classic aromas of cassis, tobacco leaf, licorice and a toasty oak (about 85% French and 15% American is used). This attractive medium to full bodied 2002 exhibits excellent depth as well as a pure blackcurrant character with a layered texture. Drink it over the next six to eight years.

This well made dark ruby/purple tinged 2002 Merlot (a blend of 90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Malbec aged completely in French Oak) revels notes of mocha, dried herbs, berry fruit and a whiff of chocolate, a firm finish and medium body. This is a big wine and should drink well for seven to ten years.

This outstanding dense ruby/purple coloured 2002 Henry Bennett’s Voluptuary is aged completely in French Oak. The nose is filled with the aroma of dark chocolate, spice, black pepper and liquorice. Mouth filling palate with outstanding length and depth. Strong flavours of vanilla and liquorice over dark chocolate and mocha. Very long aftertaste of dark chocolate, mocha and spice with balanced firm dry tannins. A multi-dimensional wine that needs time. It requires two to three years of bottle age and should last 12 to 15 years.
